After a career spanning almost 50 years, I retired from Forrester on July 1, 2024. I've been fortunate to work with so many talented, interesting, wonderful people throughout my career and I cherish so many memories. Someone recently asked me what was the most interesting job I had and I had to stop and think for a bit. I started working as a ranch hand at age 15, spent time at NASA after graduating college, organized and ran ski trips for large groups, and worked as a first mate on a charter dive boat. I've been a project manager, program manager, sales manager, and sales ops leader. But I think two companies stand out. The first was MCI Telecommunications in the mid 80's and early 90's. That was a company with a clear mission of disrupting the telephone monopoly and the willingness to give responsibility to everyone throughout the organization. I met many life-long friends there, including my wife! The second was SiriusDecisions/Forrester where I had the opportunity to work with incredible people - fellow analysts, clients and vendors - to help improve performance across sales and revenue operations. I'm still passionate about being a trusted advisor for sales, sales operations, and revenue operations leaders and the vendors that serve that space. Interested in connecting here?
