• Hired as a consultant at FedEx to help with the modernization of the AS400 Rerate green screens to a browser-based interface.

• Worked as a contractor for FedEx on the COD/ECOD team, participating in their field simplification project, which was extremely time-critical.
• Used my experience in RPGILE/CL/SQL on the iSeries to help successfully complete the project, which included changes to upwards of 100 objects.

• Became familiar with the IT department operations, structure and methods for the DC (Distribution Center) in Warrendale, which also included supporting DCs in Kansas and Canada.
• Developed new processes for the Warehouse Management System, and expanded the functionality of existing processes using RPGIV/ILE and RPG Free, in addition to related CLs on the iSeries.
• Validated data, verified test results, created reports and provided pertinent information using SQL queries.

• Lead a 3-person in-house technical team which was responsible for overseeing and supporting FedEx’s Rerate application, which also included development, analysis and testing of new applications, maintenance of existing.
• Created software requirement specifications for new product development, including all aspects of design, testing, validation, implementation, and support.
• Worked in conjunction with FedEx to achieve their stated project goals, and trained CAI personnel to facilitate that process.

Played major role in helping to develop Key Bank’s Debt Protection Program by helping design, code and test changes to their system. Implemented database changes to aid in processing new data. Refined my skills as an ALS technician and transitioned them to a new environment. Quickly learned new business model to become productive in helping Key Bank.

Pittsburgh

Became adept at writing and supporting Fidelity’s Advanced Loan System, and transitioned that knowledge to their newly-created automotive division. Was involved with and supported several successful conversions to Fidelity’s ALS system. Updated JCL and CICS when warranted to improve processes. Pittsburgh

Supported both Commercial Credit Facilities & Mortgage Banking divisions using COBOL and JCL. Was heavily involved in Mellon’s Y2K initiative by modifying copybooks and programs to accept both four digit date fields and dates with centuries greater than 19. Responsible for accurately documenting changes, and to relay that information to users. Developed ad.
