About Steve Smart

What I doI help consumers and small businesses get their refused insurance claims paid. The service I offer is unique because I have taken the common excuses that insurers use to refuse paying claims and catalogued them against the relevant laws and rules that they must follow. This know how allows me to quickly, accurately and cost effectively manage your case. If there is a way to get your claim paid I will find it and challenge your insurer’s refusal using their formal complaints process and, if they still refuse to listen, I will take your case to the Financial Ombudsman who has the power to make your insurer put things right.About me I am a solicitor and have spent 35 years in the general insurance industry. I was the General Counsel/Legal Director for the insurer AIG in the UK for ten years and have previously served on a number of legal and regulatory bodies, including the FSA’s General Counsel’s forum and the Bank of England’s Financial Markets Law Committee.
