Passionate about client service and cultivating long-term relationships, Steve leads engagements for some of the most prominent players in the US asset management and real estate industries in his capacity as a partner in PwC’s Asset Management tax practice. After beginning his career in the Dallas market in 1997, Steve spent 8 years in PwC’s New York asset management practice before relocating to Atlanta. Steve is a subject matter specialist in inbound and outbound tax structures for private equity, global real estate debt and equity portfolios, structuring for tax-exempt investors, public and private REIT vehicles, debt fund accounting, and foreign investment in U.S. real estate. Steve also brings a unique breadth of knowledge beyond traditional asset management including a focus on complex tax provisions for multinational organizations. Clients value his ability to translate complex tax concepts into understandable solutions, enabling them to bridge gaps across disciplines in their organizations and to successfully manage their tax issues. Recognized within PwC for exceeding client expectations in delivering tax compliance and consulting services, Steve was selected to serve as a national project management champion within PwC. With his signature style of quiet confidence, he directs internal stakeholders on organizing team structures, promoting process efficiency and integrating appropriate technology tools.Steve earned his M.S. degree in Taxation from the University of North Texas where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, serves as the PwC liaison on tax issues for the National association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.Outside of work, Steve enjoys sharing time with his wife and three children, playing guitar leads as fast as he possibly can, and is a loyal Texas Rangers fan.Common Misspellings: Steven Tyler, Steven Taylor, Stephen Tyler, Thomas Tyler
