My legal practice focuses on providing high quality, personalized criminal defense representation to each of my clients. In each case, I rely on my 14 years of experience as a criminal defense lawyer, trial attorney and a civil rights attorney as I look for every opportunity to undermine the prosecutor's theory both legally and factually. As a supplement to my legal experience, I also draw on the skills I developed as a teacher before law school in my personal approach of "educating" and persuading the judge, the prosecutor and/or the jury on my view of the case. The reality is that many defendants will not likely succeed at trial, so it is imperative to me that I use my skills, working closely with my clients, their families, experts, employers, clergymen or anyone else that can help, to redefine the case and the defendant in ways that will impact the prosecutor or judge positively and set the case apart from any "standard" treatment. This has been a successful approach for me in cases ranging from small misdemeanors all the way up to serious and violent felonies.
