Vasilion Architects, Inc. (formerly Emma & Vasilion Architects) is a boutique architectural firm located in the Fox Valley, west of Chicago.Commercial, custom residential, and healthcare projects are our specialty.
I was elected on a platform of fiscal transparency, and improving communication between elected officials, city government, and the public. I used my architectural experience to contribute to the vision for our downtown development.
Our commission was charged with the responsibility to create and define Batavia's downtown historic district, then write the standards for all projects constructed within the district. We are also responsible for administering the city's facade grant program.
Responsibilities included designing all healthcare tenant suites in an 80,000 sf. medical office building and a subsequent 36,000 sf. medical office building. Tenant types included an ASTC (Ambulatory Surgical Treatment Center) for Loyola, radiologists, dentists, clinical suites, and a variety of individual specialties.
Projects included numerous healthcare projects for Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Chicago and St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago.
