Leadership - Direct MSP Operations overseeing Airside, Facilities, Field Maintenance, and Landside Departments. (300 employees) Enhance MSP airport community working relationships between airlines, tenants, federal agencies and the MAC through effective partnership development programs. Implement MAC vision statement "To give our customers the best airport experience in North America". Communications - Make public presentations to appointed Commissioners and other groups. Represent MSP in media interactions. Present technical papers on MSP initiatives (baggage systems, sustainability, customer experience, etc.) at AAAE and other international aviation conferences. Capital Programs - Serve as Operations lead in delivery of MSP 2010 $3.1 billion capital plan and future needs analysis for MSP 2030 Long-Term Capital Plan. Since 2002 serve as Peer Review advisor on AECOM North American team at international airports in the US, Canada and EU. Budget / Cost Control - Oversee an annual $47 million operating budget and $71 million revenue budget. Institute cost containment strategies to reflect current economic conditions. Develop non-aeronautical revenue opportunities in operational arenas. (off-airport parking, etc.)Project Management - Provide leadership in critical areas at MSP including 2004 mechanic strike, 2005 - 2007 Muslim taxi driver alcohol controversy, 2005 Katrina Response Team, 2005 fueling consortium conflict, 2005 - 2006 MSP logistics program development, 2008 Republican National Convention, 2009 accessibility work with the Twin Cities deaf community.

Leadership - Direct skilled trade, operating engineer, and building service work groups. (6 unions) Oversee terminal and "MAC campus" building operations, cleaning, HVAC and maintenance. Budget / Cost Control - Oversee annual $18 million operating budget. Develop cost effective strategies to creatively "contract in" O & M labor functions as well as utilization of internal staff on capital projects. (code inspections, change order work, etc.) Project Management - Implement facility wide Computerized Maintenance Management Information System. (CMMS) Serve as management representative in fledgling MAC Labor Management group initiatives. Develop, bid, award and oversee vendor contract RFPs for cleaning, maintenance, tram and conveyant operations associated with existing and rapidly expanding facilities at MSP.

Leadership - Direct 7/24 plant operations through supervision of 15 shift managers and 280 operators. Develop and implement performance measurement and accountability standards. Enhance union / management relationship through partnership initiatives with union business agent and representatives.Budget / Cost Control - Utilize best operating practices at 250 mgd wastewater treatment plant. Cut labor and litigation costs through introduction of consistent management practices.Project Management - Develop long term strategy to lower annual operating costs through rightsizing staff via cooperative capital planning, use of new technology and 5-year attrition plan.

Management - Oversee 7/24 plant operations through supervision of 21 operators and 6 skilled trades. Develop and institute effective OSHA mandated safety and operational training programs.Capital Programs - Complete plant expansions at Rosemount in 1988 and at Empire in 1992. Oversee move from central to distributed process computer control system in 1992.Project Management - Implement plant wide Computerized Maintenance Management Information System. (CMMS) Serve as chair of agency wide conflict management council.

Operations - Operate plant process computers, incinerators, liquid treatment equipment, and dewatering units. Serve as IUOE shop steward, executive board and negotiating committee member.

Agency Services - Conduct initial client evaluations. Secure appropriate client funding. Prepare grant proposals, make public presentations and assist in agency administration.Counseling - Facilitate daily chemical dependency therapy groups. Provide individual counseling for caseload of six to ten clients.
