This analysis was used in all following studies to enable readers to visualize the impacts of a transmission topology change on energy transfers.• Automated the calculation of Adjusted Production Cost, ensuring the primary metric used to evaluate the effectiveness of a transmission system addition was accurate and quickly available.• Created a new database representation of the Transmission Service Requests used to share transmission capacity. Reduced the number of records in the DB from 120,000 to 2200, this made it possible to review the data more easily for accuracy and made changing the configuration of the regional entities much easier.

The tool made it possible to accumulate and assign MISO charges to the various trading Spit Rock Energy trading activities invoiced to the member utilities.• Built a spreadsheet tool based on unit testing data that allowed traders to predict the unit capability of a combined cycle unit, schedule energy and purchase fuel based on operating needs of the purchasing customers.
