The Dean of Students provides strategic support to the Vice President for Student Affairs and Athletics in the overall operation and functioning of the division of Student Affairs and Athletics. The Dean of Students provides direct supervisory leadership to the Offices of Student Engagement and Belonging (Multicultural Affairs and Student Involvement), First Generation and Military Affiliated Initiatives, Student Conduct, and Residence Life. The Dean also spearheads case management for students, families, and guests interacting with the Dean of Students office, manages crisis response, oversees the work of the College’s Behavioral Intervention Team and Bias Incident Response Team, leads the division's assessment work, and provides leadership in the student conduct process. The Assistant Dean of Students provides support to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students in the overall operation and functioning of the Dean of Students office and the division of Student Affairs. The Assistant Dean of Students spearheads case management for students, families, and guests interacting with the Dean of Students office, manages crisis response, serves as the deputy chair of the College’s Behavioral Intervention Team, and provides leadership in the student conduct process. The Assistant Dean has primary responsibility for providing support to students facing a range of challenges including but not limited to issues related to mental health, substance abuse, regulating behavior and managing conduct. The Assistant Dean also undertakes projects that move Student Affairs forward toward accomplishing divisional goals and the College’s strategic plan.
