With 30 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Steve has been a key team leader on a wide variety of government projects for manned space flight, satellite communications, civil aviation, and commercial venues including insurance, financial services, and medical technology. While building a strong connection with the community of makers and innovative developers in the Tampa Bay area, Steve formed Willingham Associates LLC with the branded community development and capacity building service known as the Eureka! Factory (EurekaFactory.NET). Steve designed the layout for The Hive, a 10,000 sq. ft. public community innovation center at the John F. Germany Library in downtown Tampa. He is also a longtime FIRST robotics volunteer, having served as Florida's State Judge Advisor for FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), FRC team mentorIn 2015, Steve created the Foundation for Community Driven Innovation, Inc., d/b/a FCDI, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to supporting academic achievement, economic development and the spirit of innovation through inspiring programs and active learning projects. Steve currently operates as the Chief Financial Officer of FCDI.
