I have been an educator for NISD for 7 years (3 previously at Holmgreen/NCC and 4 at Sandra Day O'Connor High School). I currently teach High School Mathematics, with a certification in Secondary Math. I also have a certification in Secondary Technology Education. Prior to returning to NISD, I worked as an insurance claim adjuster for USAA and United Healthcare. In 2019, I was hired as the Director of Sound and Media at Helotes Hills United Methodist Church. I was in charge of running sound for services, maintaining the sound and audio equipment, recording video and audio of services, editing and publishing sound/video for online worship and for the church's podcast, run and maintain the video equipment, create graphics for online, social media and for print, maintain all social media and communication accounts for the church, create videos for online ads, help organize events, attend staff meetings, and more. In 2006, I was hired as the Promotions Director of 89.7 KBSB, an FM radio station. During that time, I was trained to use the Adobe Suite, Logic Pro, Final Cut Pro, and more. I also worked hand in hand with the marketing department of the station, as our roles were directly related. My job was to oversee the promotions/marketing team for the entire radio station. We would brainstorm ways to promote the station, improve our image and brand, and implement those plans. With that training, I have been a graphic designer, audio engineer (both in-studio and live), and have been in charge of marketing and social media for several successful small businesses, including my own LLC, as a musician.
