About Steve Wright

In my undergraduate career, I have earned my Bachelor's Degrees in both Business Management and Finance. I've have worked in some diverse environments: from basic retail, to managing a department, to quality control, and now working in finance, I have quickly met and exceeded each challenge these jobs have thrown my way. These efforts have not gone unnoticed as I have received many awards through my working history. Most recently, I worked for Vanguard as an Senior Workforce Analyst within the Strategic Support group, which required me to be both Series 7 and 63 licensed. I worked with internal business partners to create, communicate, and execute on our week ahead plan, made intra-day changes as needed, created various reports to help management get a clearer picture of the current state of the business, and work on ad-hoc projects. Previously, at Vanguard, I worked as an Account Transition Specialist, where I helped current and prospective clients with moving accounts to Vanguard. I also worked as a Retirement Plan Specialist, where I answered participants’ phone inquiries about their retirement plans that pertain to subjects such as: loans, withdrawals, contributions, fund inquires, and regulatory and tax questions. Throughout my time at Vanguard, I have led and assisted in multiple training sessions and projects in order to help increase the efficiency and understanding of some of our daily responsibilities. Outside of work and school I try to keep myself as well rounded as possible and strive to never stop learning. I enjoy reading about investing, business, astronomy, and history and I have taught myself how to play golf and invest in the stock market. I am currently teaching myself how to play guitar. I am also an avid football and hockey fan.My experience in school and work has taught me to adapt and learn in a multitude of settings. I cannot wait to be presented with the right opportunity so I can help lead a company, as well as myself, forward.
