The financial community relies on social media. There is no alternative. All public companies fight for investor attention; it is the reason why the largest companies conduct "non-deal" roadshows for months at a time. Maintaining awareness is key. Social media is a reliable way to generate awareness.One of our campaigns found that days with tweets are twice as likely to end positively, with 19% higher average daily volume. A 2016 study found that 80% of institutional investors incorporate social into their daily workflow. For these reasons, public companies should consider implementing social media strategies. Social media enables smaller public companies to achieve parity with better capitalized, better known entities. We have taken part in some remarkable campaigns that have changed perceptions that would have otherwise been impossible to change. In many cases, these campaigns have a positive and direct influence on valuation. The companies that take advantage of the opportunity that social media presents drive better returns for shareholders.As an investor acquisition channel, nothing compares to social media. When used correctly, it offers the lowest cost acquisition method for retail investors and gives you the perfect platform to showcase your story –again and again – in different ways. We operate under the assumption that 99% of investors have never heard of you and then create audience segments and messaging strategies to increase awareness and recall. Most public companies have years of 10-Q's, presentations, interviews and filings that can be repurposed to ensure that investors are continually presented the story. We recommend a constant schedule of communications to outline the company's value drivers and assets.To eliminate conflicts, our policy is to work with one client per sector.
