Tier one automotive supplier of climate, electronics, interiors and lighting: $7B sales.NORTH AMERICAN LIGHTING PRODUCT GROUP CONTROLLER 2007-2010Led a staff of three plant controllers and three financial analysts. Oversaw the accounting and finance functions, including forecasting, budgeting, pricing, quoting, profit and loss results and accounting controls. The lighting group had $600M in sales and eight plants in Mexico, India and Czech Republic.• Improved Mexican plant results by $22M year-over-year by spearheading reductions in fixed costs, flexing plant labor, better freight terms and increased customer pricing.• Reduced personnel cost by $250K annually by combining financial duties while increasing responsibilities and maintaining timely and accurate reporting.• Conceived hedging the Mexican Peso currency which saved $1.5M in 2009.• Established a new financial reporting process after the split from the electronics product group, including profit and loss results, budgeting, forecasting and planning methods. Also implemented accounting controls and SOX compliance. CUSTOMER BUSINESS GROUP VEHICLE CONTROLLER 2000-2007Managed a staff of three financial analysts. Oversaw the profit and loss analysis and reporting, forecasting, budgeting, pricing and quoting of all parts from vehicle award date to production for vehicles ranging in sales from $700M to $1.2B.• Led analysis and process changes for collection of open aged tooling receivables from customers which increased cash flow by $2M and a 50% reduction in open receivables. • Developed program financial reporting metrics and a change tracker system that enabled management to make timelier and more accurate business decisions.• Prepared financial analysis for cost, pricing and quoting that determined satisfactory returns for vehicle programs and ensured profitability objectives were met.
