My name is Stephen Barrett and I am a Real Estate Broker for Keller Williams. Domus47 is my real estate page on Facebook.I'm a passionate advocate for my wonderful city of Seattle where I was born. I've lived in Seattle and the Puget Sound area for over 30 years wherein I've seen many changes as a result of the inevitable growth of the region. I created Domus47 with the idea that at the center of everyone's well being is a sense and feeling of "home" (domus). The magical number in all of this is the Seattle area represented by the latitude coordinate of 47 degrees. I'm honored to hang my real estate hat with Keller Williams Downtown Seattle. Worked for the 520 Floating Bridge Project as the Project Assistant for the Westside Group ( I-5 to floating bridge deck). Coordinated and managed the QC/QA process of the design and environmental deliverables per the WSDOT contract. Required to read plans, studies, and contracts with attention to the QC/QA process as dictated by WSDOT contract from 30% through 90% completion submittals. Also supported the manager of the Westside Group through scheduling and maintaining calendars.

Worked for the Alaskan Way Viaduct Project as the Senior Admin Assistant to the Director of Operations and the Director of South End Construction. Maintained calendars and scheduling, completed timesheets and expense reports, organized meetings and team events. Supported the Executive Assistant to the Project Administrator and several other directors as backup support. A high level of confidentiality performed within a fast paced, very public and controversial project.

Began my own bookkeeping/accounting business. My main client was The Sienna Group from April 2008 to Oct 2008. I performed all accounting functions for this small investment firm dealing with international and domestic investments. Oversaw accounting functions to include payroll and month end financials. Extensive cash transfer and stock purchase activity both international and domestic as needed per weekly cash flow analysis. Other clients of mine were small one-owner businesses & non-profit organizations within the greater Seattle area.

Worked at the following assignments: Financial Analyst 2006 to 2007 - T-Mobile:Analyzed and reconciled expenses related to real estate projects from 2004 to 2006. Assisted in the creation of budgets for 2007 and 2008. Created and analyzed reports revealing occupation costs by sq ft for all retail outlets and operational locations, Completed budget/expense analysis of cost centers under Facilities and Legal.Senior Accountant 2006 - Sur La Table:Implemented the “construction in progress” module of the fixed assets system. Created new financial reports in their financial reporting system per the format and specifications resulting from the most recent external audit.Senior Accountant 2006 - Dendreon Corporation:Completed month end closings after the conversion of their reporting system to Oracle. Implemented formats and procedures to streamline the closing process. Managed a large investment portfolio of over $6m, a major source of capital for this biotech company.Shared Services Analyst 2005 - Cingular Wireless:Analyzed and reconciled the cell site construction projects. Facilitated the processing of the related purchase orders in regards to the established milestone markers both in Oracle and their project management system. Resolved a variety of issues involving fixed pricing discrepancies and open purchase orders per Cingular data and primary vendor data totaling over $25m.

Monroe, Wa

Responsible for completing, reviewing, and streamlining the month end closing process. Managed a royalty program totaling $1.6m annually. Reconciled and resolved discrepancies on the entire balance sheet as part of the finance group relocation. Audited and updated the fixed assets for both accounting environments. Completed all sales tax filings monthly/quarterly. Reviewed financial statements for any discrepancies, with particular attention paid to cost of goods margins. Sole accountant and point of contact for year-end audit inquiries.

Kirkland, Wa

Hired under contract to reconcile and manage the financial activity of several Seattle area business districts. Reconciled and resolved a variety of balance sheet accounts that had not been reconciled for more than a year. Completed a fixed assets audit for several Seattle business districts tracked between three different database systems. Resolved outstanding tax filing discrepancies with significant liability. Reviewed monthly financial statements for any anomalies. Managed deferred income billings totaling $1.2m.
