Had the honour and privilege of serving in the British Army for 11 years, gaining excellent training, and a broad range of skills . • During these 11 years much of which spent operating in Northern Ireland performing a wide-range of duties. • Leading teams deployed to numerous public disorder situations and at the latter stages of the career would be charged with performing the role of Training Instructor for visiting units in Public Order Tactics. • As a Section Commader i was responsible for the day to day running and administration of 8 men in a busy operational unit serving in Northern Ireland. Duties ranged from conducting Public Order tasks in assistance with the PSNI to serving in OP Faction, a Surveillance unit operating in areas of Belfast. During this time I was responsible for conducting Public Order Training exercises and the career development of my section.
