Within BT, I worked as part of "etc." as part of the digital group.Specifically, the BT payments team as an Industrial Placement Student.I worked on the project's backend, batch payment interface and fixing vulnerable components of the project, ensuring that it is protected from the OWASP top 10 & adheres to the PCI DSS compliance.Within the placement, I gained a strong experience in Java, SQL, SQLplus, GIT bash, Bash scripting, Encryption (SHA-256 & SHA-1), Log4j2, Web Logic & Linux/Unix.Using an agile development methodology; whilst utilizing daily standup meetings, I have been able to develop my soft skills and as a result, I have been able to create a well-rounded skill set for my future career aspirations.
