STEWART DAVIDSONConsultant DirectorStewart began his journey at Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, Aberdeen where he earned an Hons degree + his Diploma in Architecture going on to gain his RIBA qualification in 1981. Stewart went on to set up his practice in 1985, soon expanding to become recognized for his design ability + professional approach to commissions. Over almost 40 + Years in the profession Stewart brings valuable experience and his personal commitment to CSY to further develop the practice specializing in both the Architecture and Interior design disciplines. Stewart’s experience will be valuable to allow the whole team at CSY to continue developing and innovating design solutions in both the architectural + Hospitality commissions. Stewart and his existing team have achieved multiple UK interior design awards which allowed Stewart to gain recognition in a specialist field, with an expanding client base across the UK. During the development phase of DBP Stewart encouraged new talent within the profession, mentoring newly qualified staff members, advancing both design + technical standards, to give something back to the profession.Stewart’s objectives going forward are to combine his enthusiasm with a continuing commitment to providing a professional and high-level service to clients. Using his exceptional skillset Stewart will continue to promote design conscious contributions to clients and the community. Stewart’s expertise spans a wide range of projects including Residential, Commercial and Interior design commissions, and that drive and ambition will continue as part of CSY Architects. Creating + managing the design process for clients from the very smallest project to larger multi-million-pound commissions has been important to Stewart over the years in fostering long lasting relationships.Outside work Stewart enjoys keeping fit + active, maintain an interest in motor sport, and most importantly taking the dog for long walks in the countryside. Having two grown up daughters always keeps Stewart grounded, and when he can Stewart is keen supporter of Raith Rovers FC, which has at times been challenging whilst creating valuable memories.
