Represent Research and Development on the North American Management Board accountable for a business in excess of $3BN, interacting and working closely with cross-functional counterparts (sales, marketing, supply chain, quality, procurement) to deliver business objectives. Lead, organize and develop a team of 55+ product and packaging developers, sensory and fundamental scientists, technology managers and pilot technologists in two countries and six locations across the North American region with direct management of six Directors and Senior Directors, including at management team level in Canada and an independent US business. Represent the region as a member of the Global R&D Dairy Board with peers from all regions and from the central R&D function linking the technologies, science and talent across the globe and translating learnings into local business opportunities.

Led product development initiatives across multiple technology platforms including thermal process, extrusion, semi-moist, aseptic and cookie making technologies demonstrating innovative capabilities by creating multiple patents to protect the new product pipeline.

Led and managed Product Quality for all thermally processed products across the US manufacturing network developing a team of remote associates and drove the development and implementation of Quality best practices to ensure the safety of the Thermally Processed Product portfolio. Managed the Petcare Laboratory facilities, including the consolidation of three facilities into a single central location

Following the acquisition of the Greenies brand was installed as the Research and Development Head within the transitional management team managing a group of product, process and quality associates during the integration into the Mars network, identifying requirements of the function within the overall business while stabilizing and rationalizing the product portfolio
