Completed a short term project in the banking section at Lotus,then a subsidiary of IBM Ireland due to a delay in the IPA project start.

Successfully launched and managed a new company, trading as a Sage Solutions Centre, with offices in Dublin and Belfast .Closed the company, when due to significant new market entrants, the company either required new investment or downsizing.

Was founder member of a company that became one of the first resellers to introduce Sage business solutions into Ireland.Left to launch Retrieve.

Gained experience and knowledge providing accounting and computer services for small companies and start ups in various businesses including Chemicals, Transport, Sport in what was a difficult economic environment.This period introduced me to PC's and Pegasus Business Software and together with a former colleague, I left, to launch Techniflow.

Gained valuable experience in a medium sized company,with offices in Dublin, Belfast and Cork, as FC in a company distributing well known brands such as Casio and Siver Reed. The company also provided support contracts for the equipment for distributors as well as countrywide contracts for BOI and AIB.One of the first to distribute PC's in Ireland.Left to 'work for myself''.

Joined as a management trainee working for the Lever Bros. and McDonnell accountants at the Irish HO before moving to Head Office as Assistant Accountant.Subsequently worked at a number of subsidiary companies, Paul and Vincent (Animal Feed) as Company Accountant and Fastways (Transport)and Commercial Manager, participating at Board meetings. Was responsible for introducing computerise accounting at both of these companies where mainframe computers was not an option! Not wishing to be transferred abroad, left to seek experience in an SMB.
