Due to staff shortages I conducted a short contract role with Dana TM4 at their Chudleigh site which manufactures electric motors. Roles included rationalising their warehouses, reducing overall inventory levels, preferred supplier agreements, procuring parts for Prototype motor builds. Examining BOMs for unit pricing and day to day procurement duties working with the Purchasing and MP&L teams to make sure there was consistent supply of parts avoiding line stops.

Key Achievements:• Introduced live stock management system to compile sales orders, purchase orders and shipping statistics into one form.• Account manage Football Mania’s largest key accounts such as Sports Direct (grown from £500k to £850k), Manchester United, Sainsbury’s and Tesco’s.• Personally managed all of Football Mania’s largest projects such as Liverpool FC member’s packs (£337k season 08/09) to deliver on time and on budget, maximising profit margin.

The KTP scheme partners a recent graduate and a University with an SME needing specialist knowledge in a particular field. The scheme aims to grow small business and “transfer knowledge” between the graduate, the company and an academic partner. The project has specific term and goals which are monitored through a Local Management Committee comprising the DTI, company and academic reps. Achievements: • Designed, installed, tested and commissioned a new mug manufacturing line which uses innovative technology which reduced cycle time from 17 to 9 mins, increased throughput by 33%, condensed manufacturing line from 12 to 8 metres.• Managed largest account project during World Cup ’06 campaign with the Co-op resulting in contract worth £835k.• Involved in developing new Licence and its categories for Manchester United.• Manage compliance of Far-East factories.
