What began as a launch of one of the earliest agave nectar syrup brands into the U.S. market in 2008, evolved into a purpose-driven organic food company. Nature's Agave landed it's first customer, Seaside Market in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, and over the course of a few years, grew to include distribution across the country and into international markets. Stewart Duncan expanded the product line by formulating a powdered organic zero-calorie sweetener blend featuring dry agave, stevia and vanilla. With a successful consumer brand in major retailers including Williams-Sonoma, Whole Foods and GNC, Nature's Agave also extended it's wholesale business by becoming the exclusive agave supplier, and as a featured cocktail ingredient, to On The Border and Macaroni Grill, among other national restaurant chains. Duncan also extended brand awareness by partnering with key influencer celebrity chefs, mixologists, and spirit brands, including Guy Fieri, Sharone Hakman, Casa Noble Tequila, Veev, and Del Maguey Mezcal. This multi-layered channel and lifestyle strategy successfully expanded the Nature's Agave brand into an internationally-recognized brand, built from the ground up by Duncan and his partner Jeff Vance. Nature's Agave has supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Surfrider Foundation, and local school fundraisers.

With operations in Mexico and the U.S., Maverick Spirits is a producer and supplier of tequila and mezcal spirits to internationally distributed brands. As co-founder, Stewart and his business partner with family ties to prominent agave growers, worked in the tequila region of Mexico to create supply chain relationships, craft a full line of world-class tequilas, and design the packaging for Azuñia Tequila. During his time in Mexico, Stewart established personal relationships with prominent agave growers, producers and suppliers, and contributed to the company's key milestones:• Built supply agreements with major agave growers in Mexico.• Developed Azuñia Tequila: Blanco, Reposado and Añejo.• Secured distribution partnership for the Azuñia brand

As a co-founder of Thinkbig in 2000, Stewart has served as Managing Director, followed by President for this fresh, youthful design and public relations firm. Responsible for branding strategy, creative solutions, interactive design, as well as profitable business operations. Stewart was responsible for selling the company to its current owners in May of 2008.
