Admiral Group, a consortium of several business enterprises included a property developmentdepartment. Operating as a project management office, all services were out sourced. My dutiesincluded the management of the property development projects from land purchase all the waythrough to tenant hand over, including scouting/negotiating potential business opportunities, obtainingfinance, purchasing of land, appointment of all designers and contractors, obtaining building planapproval, managing the building site, and marketing of the new development for sale/tenanthandover. Projects involved included: two industrial developments, and a luxury game lodge.Involvement was also with the Admiral group Yacht manufacturing department that produced luxury catamarans.

As part of a team of architects and planners, the complete planning and design process was servicedin this office. Projects ranged from multi storey low income housing, to luxury single dwellingdevelopments, industrial and commercial developments. Involvement was concerned with theplanning analysis, legislation research, client liaison, Council liaison, report writing, inter departmentliaison, and council application processing to obtain approval.
