During 2010 I was transferred to the Safety & Sustainability Development Risk & Assurance Department to fulfil the position as a Risk & Assurance auditor. Currently fulfilling the role of Lead Auditor, my main responsibilities are:• Audit planning, execution and report writing, covering different audit topics and themes across different disciplines and Business Units/Operations globally. • Leading a group of internal and external technical specialists with different backgrounds and technical expertise.• Ensure collaboration between operations team and audit team during the audit / review to enable us to meet set objectives. • Inclusion of Group Technical Standards as part of the broader assurance and compliance reviews.• Following up on the effectiveness and quality of Integrated Risk Management processes implemented at operations.• Providing feedback presentations to site management and key role players at corporate offices of different business units.• Assist with the analysis of audit data and identifying best practices and key risks at site, business unit and group level.• Contribute towards the Group Risk Register.• Drafting reports which include quantitative and qualitative data for different levels within the organisation which include site senior management, group technical standard owners and the Safety and Sustainable Management Committee.• Preparation and facilitation of consolidation workshops on audit themes which include members from all business units.Being involved with different aspects of the audit process ranging from planning to reporting, gives me a robust background of experience in auditing, which include thematic audits and more specific technical audits across all business units globally.
Responsible for implementation of safety standards and systems. Also responsible to ensure all fire fighting equipment is fully operational by doing maintenance on automatic fire detection and suppression systems. Taking control of emergency incidents on and off site.
