During my short stay at Arisco N.V. I was responsible for the daily operations of the maintenance and production department where we produced truck mounted attenuators and safety equipment (light bars, sirens…) for emergency vehicles. I was also responsible for the procurement and negotiating contracts.

At Krinkels NV (previous Interplant NV, Brufort NV & Arbel SA) I was responsible for managing the fleet, which consisted out of cars, vans, trucks, trailers, agricultural equipment (tractors, industrial mowers, wood choppers…), construction equipment (hydraulic cranes, excavators, wheel loaders…) and specialized equipment like aerial trucks. As the fleet manager I was also responsible for issuing price requests, making technical analyzes, pre-procurement testing, negotiating contracts and the procurement of the equipment. I also negotiated contracts for the procurement of spare parts and services (maintenance). As the fleet manager it was also my responsibility to clear any issues with insurance claims regarding road accidents and more specific every single TMA accident (truck mounted attenuator) for which I brokered a deal with UPEX (the royal vehicle experts association of Belgium) to increase the value paid after collisions with TMA’s. I also designed the trucks and specialized equipment (aerials) in co-operations with the supplier/importer to get the best solution fitted for the company. When needed I also helped our maintenance personnel in finding specific spare parts or making detailed manuals when necessary.

At Sarens NV I was responsible for the fleet management. The fleet consisted out of vans, trucks, trailers, (hydraulic) cranes and forklifts… I also rented specialized lifting equipment out to external customers including arranging transport with the transport department. I managed also our internal gas station and the scale to weigh cranes and trucks. Also part of the job was making shipping calculations to transport crane parts in the most cost-efficient way with the local laws in consideration regarding weight and size. Some translations from manuals into the Dutch language from either English or Germans were also done by my in order to give the user the best experience.
