Created New API for Bluepipes:• Developed a Laravel API using Pint, PHPStan, Passport, Solarium, Sail, Rector, Swagger, and Git hooks for releases, automated linting, and testing.• Set up Forge to manage API releases to testing and production servers in AWS.• Created over 100 different endpoints in the API, establishing initial code standards and enforcing them through code reviews.• Set up a Vue frontend as the main consumer of the API using JWT tokens for authentication and authorization.• Configured clients with OAuth 2 credentials for limited API data access.• Upgraded MySQL from 5.7 to 8, PHP from 5.7 to 8.2, and Solr from 8.3 to 8.11.• Led engineering design and facilitated feedback and consensus for multiple projects.Maintained and updated the original Bluepipes website:• Rebuilt onboarding and local dev environments, reducing setup time from over 3 weeks to less than 1 day.• Fixed issues within Docker, upgrading Dockerfiles and compose files, creating new images to resolve server issues.• Accelerated the release process from one per 2 months to more than one per 2 weeks, handling 49 releases.• Upgraded the Solr server, editing settings to fix site-breaking issues, reducing daily downtime from ~15 minutes to virtually zero.• Adjusted EC2 instances to prevent downtime from the feed processor.• Updated emails to comply with spam requirements of major email clients.• Proactively resolved server and email issues before they could impact site availability or lead to blacklisting. • Set and enforced coding standards across hundreds of code reviews.• Implemented and fixed issues with the job feed processor that would reach out to gather datafrom clients and add it to our site, and take our data and push it out to linkedIn, Google andseveral other places.• Built two teams, hiring 9 engineers after interviewing over 20 candidates.
