Profile bio

About Dan Rey

Jedi Consular The DAN Rey Listen! From Naboo comes a man. A tall man with refractory lenses that gave him both sight & wisdom. He carried with him a name formed of 2 monosyllables – DAN & REY. Several years ago, The DAN entered the Midwest Order of the Client Side as a seeker. In time, he rose to an ambassador & a visionary of those who sought to learn Windows 7. This DAN toiled to promote peace & balance in the Galactic Republic. Like a book brings with it a new PREMISE, he will work ON-PREMISES in ChicagoIf the Republic is to survive, it needs leaders who understand how to deftly combat the darkness of the Cloud Side. From this day forward, The DAN enters the Order of the Monkeybowl where, as a Jedi Consular for the Cloud, he will channel his strength in combat, wisdom, metaphor & training for the power of the Force. The DAN definitely knows the difference between PREMISE & PREMISES. A brief narration of his history shows that only he can unite the Jedi Order & rescue our galaxy from the menacing darkness. The DAN been involved with Toastmasters for over 10 years & has served as club VP of Public Relations, Vice President, President & as Area Governor in 2011-2012 of 5 clubs from Elgin to Rockford to Tatooine. In this capacity, The DAN has met ON-PREMISES with business professionals & leaders from State Farm, Chicago Bridge & Iron, John Deere, Caterpillar, United Airlines, Baxter & diplomats from the Arkanis sector, to discuss leadership, personal improvement, the role technology plays in personal & professional life & comprehension of the Force that binds it all together. Prior to the Midwest Order, The DAN spent 5 years as a technical trainer, teaching Microsoft Official Curriculum at the Information Management Group in Chicago, IL, teaching those who seek to knowledge to avoid the temptation to take shortcuts towards personal power. Being of the same species, the DAN produced offspring Sam (now 26 - hatched on the dusty, desert planet Aargonar in the Outer Rim) and a daughter (now age 21, a princess on the terraformed satellite Dorumaa). Both have already humbly dedicated their lives to service as keepers of Jedi lore, as their mentors did. When not engaged in field reconnaissance and combat, The DAN enjoys more peaceful pursuits. These include biking when planetary climates are temperate, rap music of the Cantina, & possesses an obsession with the IT Crowd. The Dan has turned his light saber in for a Pickleball paddle or three & can be found playing at night on courts throughout the Galaxy. Carry on

Listed skills include Cloud Computing, Operating Systems, Microsoft Technologies, Leadership, and 37 others.
