Corporate business partner for sustainability management to senior management and Sulzer's divisions. As the in-house consultant/business partner, I inspired and closely engaged with internal and external stakeholders to develop, initiate and implement strategic, systematic approaches for various corporate sustainability/ESG topics. I took the lead in the conceptualisation, strategizing and successful implementation of global, interdisciplinary sustainability projects/programs:» Advanced Sulzer’s Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)/ LCA-project to a global program acc. ISO 14040 and 14025 standards» Developed and authored 3 consecutive annual Sustainability Reports (SR) acc. GRI G3.0 A+. Sulzer’s 2012 SR was a recognised leader in a Swiss sustainability reporting benchmark» Professionalized Sulzer’s external sustainability reporting (incl. submissions to ratings and indices), and the SR’s third party assurance process (incl. GRI G4 roadmap)» Supported divisional management in developing a systematic approach for legal compliance with the United States Dodd-Frank-Act, Section 1502 on conflict minerals» During a 6 months secondment to Sulzer’s strategic Corporate Sourcing Initiative, responsible for the qualitative assessment of the divisional procurement organisations. The Initiative was a companywide program to professionalize the company’s divisional sourcing functions and strengthen Sulzer´s one company strategy» Supported the QESH-team during the roll-out/ implementation of Sulzer’s Corporate Occupational Health and Safety Program (SBP)» Last but not least, I shaped Sulzer’s external position in business and government led sustainability initiatives and events.

Headed-­up and partnered in various sustainability consulting mandates for (inter)national Swiss firms from the energy, industrial manufacturing/technology and logistics sectors. Mandates were predominately on professionalizing sustainability reporting and communications practices, implementation of (parts of) sustainability management systems, and management training

Operational project manager of and participation in Swiss state funded CTI projects. As part of the research team, I a.o. co-developed and refined a Swiss framework for integrated sustainability reporting in close partnership with business and research partners. The outcomes of this CTI project were published in academic journals, shared with the scientific community on several international conferences and adopted by the öbu for their biennial "Best Swiss Sustainability Report" award. In a second CTI project for the NPO/NGO sector, I participated in the assessment of the reporting system from the Swiss subsidiary of a well known dutch independent global environmental campaigning organisation to sequentially improve their extrafinancial reporting practices.
