Profile bio

About Stine Smith

I have lived in cultural extremes from ultra-liberal Denmark to extremely conservative Saudi Arabia and all sorts in between. What I learned most from this was that any change you make will have an impact on yourself, your family and in some rare cases, the world. When I moved to New Zealand I saw and experienced the positive impact nature and the outdoors had on people and my own perspective on life. Nature stats and facts all point to one direction though, we are all consuming and wasting too much (nothing new there). I realised I needed to play my part in delivering a solution that could take away some of that waste. While working as a Change Management consultant across Europe and the Middle East I saw how the most successful changes happened with a clear plan and process. Each little step in the process leading you one step closer to the big change.I decided to leave corporate life and embark on the ultimate change management project - to be the step in the process that changes people’s decision-making when consuming. So Good Change Store was born, providing eco alternatives to home essentials. We work with supermarkets, corporates, schools and end-users to give them: 1. THE RIGHT (ECO) PRODUCT TOWARDS ZERO-WASTEAs children of the Western world and also parents, we at Good Change understand never to compromise on:Convenience (we are all busy and products must deliver functionality known and loved today)Design (the days of the hairy hippie are gone. Functional home essentials should look great).Efforts to Reduce Waste (products should be compostable or biodegradable – for real)2. ACCESSIBILITYThe right product for your or your company might be out there, but if you can’ta) get a hold of it easily b) afford it….what difference is it going to make?We help consumers and companies meet their own sustainability goals creating the rare combination of smiles on both the face of CFO and Sustainability Officer of the company or household.3. INSPIRATION FOR MOREWe aim to inspire others to create alternative eco products too.We do public speaking around subjects such as eco shopping trends, starting an eco-conscience company, the importance of small changes, the new eco consumer, to mention a few.Our products are available on our website and New Zealand supermarkets. We also work with fundraising for schools and organisations. If you would like to hear more about how we can help your company one step further on the journey to zero waste, please email me: stine@goodchangestore.com

Listed skills include Stakeholder Management, Strategy, Business Strategy, Change Management, and 12 others.

Good Change is taking steps to preserve the natural beauty of New Zealand & Australia by reducing the use of plastics. As conscious consumers we are all looking for products that are less harmful to the environment. None of us are perfect though, and change will not happen overnight. We believe that making small changes to your every day life will make a big difference. We want to help consumers make the small changes - without disrupting everyday life. That is why we choose to offer our eco products where people shop, in the supermarkets. Through Good Change we offer the consumer alternative products that are better to use, look better and make a positive impact on the environment. Make a small change today. Good Change!

Offering parents and children a collection of natural merino wool garments made in New Zealand. This is a collection with a focus on ethical manufacturing and thoughtful use of fabric and our natural merino fibre. My focus is on parents getting the best quality collection for their children, it's for parents that care about the environment and aware of the power of the dollar they spend. Our entire collection has an ethical and environmental focus from the sewing to the packaging. Less is more is our mantra, and this applies to our designs and the way we wrap our garments in packaging that is easy to reuse for parents. It's been known for decades (even centuries) that wool is the best fibre to use next to skin, but it's often coarse and itches when you put it on. Merino wool is different, it's fibres are 1/10th of a human hair and simply bends when next to skin. That's why it's so soft and never itches (the good quality merino that is). Loved by top athletes and the military for years, this magic fibre from New Zealand is making its way around the world. But the absolute BEST users of merino, who has so much to gain from using this in their everyday life, is babies and children.Their bodies are more sensitive and any chemicals and irritation will be more evident with them, than with adults. A natural subtle collection of base layer garments to parents of babies and young teens, who want to make sure their children are looked after on the inside, when out of sight.
