Rugged, handheld devices were used to prepare damage estimates on inbound containers to replace a formerly paper-based process. Customers were empowered to track their account information through a secure web-based interface (IDS Web) and would receive EDI messages in x12, EDIFACT, or custom formats.IT responsibilities included the management of desktop support, security monitoring, VPN, and telephony plus the architecture and management of the wired and wireless networks across several buildings on a 45 acre industrial facility.
