Founded, grew, and led a successful custom software development agency that focused on usable, beautiful, and performant web applications and mobile applications. Our team grew to 25 employees and included software engineers, usability experts, designers, and product architects.Our customers spanned many industries including healthcare, transportation, and education. These customers included both startups and existing businesses and ran the spectrum from internal business systems to business-to-business (B2B) systems to consumer systems (B2C). Our successful clients included highly successful startup sales.

Responsible for coordinating vendors and internal resources to manage IT operations and software development across a 45 acre facility near the port of Newark. Systems and software were utilized to track movement, storage, and repairs of empty intermodal shipping containers that were owned by container leasing companies but between leases (off lease).Software development activities culminated in the creation of a fully integrated depot management system (IDS) that tracked container activity, billed for container storage and repairs, tracked shop labor, and provided detailed operational and management reporting. Rugged, handheld devices were used to prepare damage estimates on inbound containers to replace a formerly paper-based process. Customers were empowered to track their account information through a secure web-based interface (IDS Web) and would receive EDI messages in x12, EDIFACT, or custom formats.IT responsibilities included the management of desktop support, security monitoring, VPN, and telephony plus the architecture and management of the wired and wireless networks across several buildings on a 45 acre industrial facility.
