Royal Air Force Marham – Tornado Maintenance School Instructor.Responsible for design, delivery and analysis of Tornado Aircraft Propulsion Systems and Human Factors Training. Students include both military and civilian counterparts from junior to senior levels.Management of 6 instructional staff, including mentoring and personal development planning. Implemented and Project managed DSAT (Defence System Approach To Training) formed a hand picked team to execute the project utilising Prince2 principles and tailored them to suit the Project. Previously I was a Tornado Aircraft Training Instructor, Mechanical (Propulsion/Airframe) Engineer with extensive experience in instructing, assessment, training development, personnel development, communication skills, project and personnel management for The Royal Air Force I have 26 years of experience being an Engineering producer, supervisor, controller, instructor and Project Manager. In this role, I have been a subject matter expert for Tornado Propulsion Instruction; successfully implementing, controlling, recording, developing and managing training resources for the Tornado Aircraft Fleet. Project Managed the Tornado Maintenance Schools transition to embrace change by implementing the Defense System Approach To Training (DSAT) to the Tornado fleet ground maintenance-training programme under extremely strict timelines utilising multi-million pound assets. Prince2 & APMP practitioner certified.

Responsible for analysis and interpretation of RCM failure data for Tornado and Hercules Aircraft. Required to accurately draft technical documentation for incorporation into technical manuals. Responsible for carrying out RCM using failure data on Hercules and Tornado aircraft resulting in major savings on more relevant maintenance procedures. Acted as the service subject matter expert on failure investigations; incorrect maintenance procedures to component failures, in liaison with several manufacturing companies.

Responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, testing, fault diagnosis and rectification of Rolls Royce Aero Engines. Team leader of 15 engineering technicians working across 10 simultaneous deep strip operations. Resourcing to task and reacting to customer demand. Liaising closely with Rolls-Royce and Integrated Project Teams to improve maintenance techniques and implementation of new modifications and improvements.

Responsible for Maintenance and Rectification of Harrier Aircraft, working to tight operational deadlines often in adverse conditions and rapidly changing situations.
