Working in the IT industry for 15 years as a system engineer/operations I am currently working as an IT Consultant with a focus on sysops (System operations), this includes AWS, Ubuntu and supporting developers.Originally working in customer service and then moving on into IT, I have managed to combine these skills with a focus on client experience. OperationsMywave Jun 2015 - Feb 2020Melbourne, AustraliaDuring my time at MyWave I was working within the operations team at MyWave, I was responsible for designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support production, demonstration, testing and R&D environments. The cloud infrastructure consisted of Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud Platform.Other aspects of the role included coordination with the development and testing teams to deploy new upgrade of the code with the aim of minimal downtime to production systems. Troubleshooting and diagnoses of build issues was also required periodically to resolve in a timely manner. Ansible was utilised to achieve various configuration management ranging provisioning environments and configuring the software.
