MSN Messenger grew to two hundred million plus users and a billion and a half messages a day during this period.

Member of Microsoft’s mergers and acquisition team for Hotmail.Oversaw on-boarding and integration of Hotmail service into Microsoft’s web portfolio. Manage all aspects of delivering software components for the Hotmail service including software development, quality assurance, and program management. Grew Hotmail user base to the largest internet mail service worldwide, growing from nine million to three hundred million unique users.

Founding member of Microsoft’s silicon valley based internet team. Promoted through multiple roles including Quality Assurance Manager, Development Manager and Group Manager. Directed quality assurance and program management for multiple products lines including Internet Explorer, Outlook Express for Macintosh, the Macintosh Java Virtual Machine, and Macintosh Personal Web Server. Managed the Macintosh Internet Explorer development team. Shipped the first version of I.E. for Macintosh in eight weeks. Grew market share to supplant Netscape Navigator, becoming the market leader within 18 months. I.E. for Macintosh became the first version of Internet Explorer on any platform to be rated #1 over Netscape Navigator in major reviews (MacUser, MacWeek.)
