Katy Stokes, LMSW, is a licensed social worker living and working in metro Detroit. She received her Master’s degree in social work from Wayne State University with a concentration in leadership development and a certificate in Human Services Management. She is skilled in program and team development, reflective supervision, and serving families and individuals in crisis. Katy currently works at Starfish Family Services where she leads a team of infant and early childhood mental health consultants supporting social-emotional health in children, families, and early childhood center staff. She has earned the endorsement of Infant Mental Health Specialist (IMH-E®, IMHS) from the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health. Katy has also worked as a consultant with Spark Group Consulting in Dearborn, MI, which helps non-profit leaders build healthy and sustainable organizations.In addition to her Master's, Katy holds a Bachelor’s degree in voice performance from Michigan State University. She believes all people of all abilities and circumstances are inherently creative and has enjoyed incorporating music and arts into her clinical and community work.
