PowerPoint is broken.That was the insight that led to StoryDesk - an iPad presentation (SaaS) app that transformed boring slideshows into interactive, data-driven presentations.I came up with the concept, raised money, assembled the team, executed and iterated, and personally sold our product to ~40 enterprise customers in a range of categories. Fahrenheit 212 is an innovation consultant that invents new businesses, products and brands for companies and then helps take them to market. My role was to strategically frame innovation projects, and then help guide new product, brand and business development from idea to execution. I contributed ideas to the innovation process (two are under development by a major media properties); built the strategic and business cases; defined and expressed product and brand propositions; guided product design and user experience; and ensured ideas’ commercial viability. Clients included Warner Music Group, NBC Universal, Samsung, Hershey, Coca-Cola, Diageo, P&G, Gucci Group, and Nestle. I was also product and brand strategist for in-house startup AlphaMom.com, a new media company and online magazine + social network. In this role I helped lead a cross-functional team of editorial, design, programming, and marketing talent.

Further, for the political risk consultant Economist Intelligence Unit I analyzed and forecasted political conditions in Andean Latin America.

Blue was an adventure travel magazine for an affluent urban audience. At Blue, I wrote and edited full-length feature stories on foreign and domestic travel, global culture, and environmental issues. I also oversaw the design and launch of Blue.com.
