Re-elected as the Sophomore Class President of Johns Hopkins University. Represents 1300+ students in administrative meetings and school affairs. Current goals include making educational materials free (e.g. Achieve, iClicker, etc.), expending the use of the campus currency, and advocating for fair compensation to the student body for on campus constructions. Also serving as a member in the Finance Committee, the Vice President of the Senate, and the Chair of the Internal Affairs Committee.

• Secured $19,000 from administration to fund class events and initiatives; represent 1,300 students in Dean and Board of Trustees meetings; Spearheaded the textbook exchange & Dining Safety programs. Delegated grants to 400+ organizations.• Collaborated with a team of seven Senators to organize two events for the class, involving coordinating with vendors, performers, and admins, which averaged 500+ in attendees and resulted in increased engagement and inclusivity.

Engaged in research with Dr. Robin Yang to create an affordable, rapid-production phantom mandible model for surgical osteotomy training. Responsibilities include investigating material properties, resin printing prototypes, and performing tensile testing.

I have tutored fifteen students to date with a cumulative average score improvement of 110 points on the SAT. I also teach principles of programming for Java and Python.

Principle Investigator: Dr. Chen Li• Analyzed the hunting motion of the spider M. Hutchinsoni through tracking and stabilizing video recordings with MATLAB.• Conducted extensive literature search, modeled spider body parts with Creo Parametric, and prototyped designs for robotic model of bolas spiders to understand their moth hunting behavior.

• Prototyped Two-channel Lateral Flow Microarray for detecting traumatic brain injury through non-invasive measures to shorten the emergency response time; lead the construction of a fluid flow model to measure cranial blood pressure.• Gained significant insight into clinical experience and patient need by working closely with Dr. Anderson in neurosurgery.

• Led six teams to compete in the First Tech Challenge; transformed the new club in 2018 into the State Champion Team in 2022; designed & built three robots under Engineering Design principles; Conducted machine shop safety trainings for members.• Initiated the Pastabot Juniors program benefiting 50+ teacher’s kids; Trained 20+ volunteers and raised over $10,000 in external sponsorship funds. Directed 2 school-wide volunteer projects positively impacting 4700+ students & faculty.
