Creation of Disaster Recovery Site: Planning, Decommissioning and Relocating hardware from the Primary site to the DR site. Coordinated with the Infrastructure team to ensure resource availability (power, network).Creation of Disaster Recovery Solution: Jointly managed the planning and execution of this groundbreaking project to create a DR solution across multiple locations. The project involved configuration and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery solution using IBM Enterprise Storage Server and PPRC over ESCON - DS3 and DWDM. My role involved DR strategy design, planning, implementation, testing and validation. Recovery of the entire production UNIX environment at the Failover site, in a simulated disaster environment confirmed the success of the solution.Server and Storage consolidation: Successfully migrated application and database from IBM SP2 and standalone RS/6000 systems to IBM pSeires 670.
