As the Head of Australian Bank Research at UBS, I lead a team who provide insightful, actionable and thematic research on the Australian banking sector, covering key trends, investment opportunities, and risks. I’ve played a central role in re-establishing the UBS bank team as a key counterparty for institutional and hedge fund clients, initiating and broadening our Australia bank coverage footprint. I have over 17 years of investment banking experience in equity and credit research, banking and financial analysis, equity valuations, and equity capital market (ECM) transactions, across developed and emerging markets. Prior to joining UBS, I was the Head of Equity Research for JPMorgan in South Africa, and a top-ranked emerging market equity analyst with stock coverage of South African bank and non-bank (insurance) financials. I have a strong track record of delivering high-quality research, generating alpha for clients, and supporting successful ECM deals. I am a Harvard Business School Alumnus, CFA Charterholder, and a University of Stellenbosch Graduate. My aim is to leverage my expertise and leadership skills to create value for team members, clients, UBS, and our broader stakeholders.
