Hello! I am a veteran of the United States Marine Corps with the pleasure of being deployed all around the world and have experienced some amazing leadership during my time serving. During my last year in the military, I had the opportunity to develop into my own leadership style when I was promoted to Platoon Sergeant leading 60 Marines in their daily operations and offering strategic advice to senior leaders. There I also got my first exposure to Excel and loved every minute of it. After an honorable separation, I enrolled in college to pursue Data Analytics. I recently graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Data Analytics with a 3.66 GPA.During the majority of my time at school, I was able to work for a great company, Achieve (formerly Freedom Financial Network). During my time there, I created a score card with an associated KPIs Dashboard in Google Sheets to analyze my team's performance monthly and annually. This score card was used daily by my supervisor and manager for improved performance.I have completed an internship with the city of Glendale as a Temporary Business Intelligence Assistant. I learned a lot about the practical applications of analysis, KPIs, and dashboard implementation. But best of all, I enjoyed the work and look forward to my future in this career space.My biggest skillset is my ability to create and present data visualizations in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders. For example, my final capstone project for my data class was centered around the optimization of Glendale Arizona's Fire Department. The Business Intelligence liaison for Glendale was so impressed by my presentation in class, she invited me to present it to Glendale's Fire Chief and accompanying officers. They responded well to my presentation too and assured me they would use my project as a guide for implementation into their own analysis. I'm open to most companies and industries as long as it is focused around data analytics. I'm confident I can contribute to any company that is willing to give me a chance!Thank you for reading and I hope to work with you in the future!
