The initial library was built in the basement of the Baghdad International Airport and was the largest English language library in the Persian Gulf states.I founded the charity during the run up to the Iraq war and the charity continued until the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. by the final count, we sent over $32 million in aid to U.S. troops deployed overseas. I was the leader for this Automotive X Prize team to produce a manufacturable car that got over 100 MPGe. Our entry was based on hydrogen as a fuel source. Later in 2007, the X Prize Foundations released new rules and guidelines which mostly disqualified hydrogen use in favor of currently delivered fossil fuels.During this period, our entry was based on the work of Andrija Puharich and his U.S. Patent #4,394,230, "Method and Apparatus for Splitting Water Molecules" granted in 1983.Our engineering and research recreated his patent and made great strides in improving on his original ideas.
