Red Velvet Events, Inc. (RVE) is an international award-winning meeting and events management company based in Austin, Texas. My role is a Leadership role within the organization that includes the daily management of the Professional Services team, which includes 9 event planners. Responsible for assigning planners and staffing 300+ days of events a year. Lead Planner and Project Manager on all large-scale events. Events ranging in size from 100 - 17,000 with full planning duties from site selection, contract negotiation, to post con. Responsible for multi city road shows with extensive onsite travel. Exceeded team yearly goals for 2015 by the 3rd quarter.

Project Manager for our annual KW convention "Family Reunion" and our mid year "MEGA Camp" from site selection to event completion and budget reconciliation. With attendance reaching 10,500, I work on developing and guiding the overall planning strategy for these massive events. Significant contract negation with vendors and venues with the usage of over a Million sqft of convention center space. Heavy live production, 200+ breakouts, 200+ vendors, significant f&B. For 4 years (2010 - 2013) served as the Chairperson for the local Austin Red Day Committee. This volunteer position manages the logistics of the company wide community service day for our local Austin area offices. I have taken great pride in project managing a large team of dedicated committee members and 200+ volunteers in the months and weeks that lead up to an extraordinary single day of service to support a local group in need.

Organize, set-up, and oversee all social events at 10 Austin area locations. Plan and implement an average of 15 different events per month to increase resident retention. Prepare and maintain annual budgets and expenses. Responsible for marketing efforts, evaluating programs based on effectiveness, and development of “new ideas”. Responsible for researching services and fees with vendors to negotiate contracts and donations. Maintain event records, and reconcile final event outcome. Responsible for all staffing of events. Periodically met with new and potential clients regarding event involvement. Encouraged team involvement thus raising retention and occupancy rates from 62% to 97% in 6 months. Recognized repeatedly by upper management for expertise in successful event planning and customer service.

Planning, marketing, and execution of repeat and new fundraising social events. Extensive marketing duties including creating press releases and newsletters for all major media. Proven ability to double profit and attendance over prior year. Ended at 114% of fundraising year budget in 2002. Coordinator in charge of pledge center at local Telethon. Initiated and maintained professional relationships with corporate sponsors, clients and committees. Created local involvement by attending support groups and extensive public speaking engagements. Supervisory position including hiring, releasing, training, and motivating of call center employees. Recognized by top management for training method. Training method presented at area conference as the “model” for Texas region and implemented state wide with much success. Honored to be asked to speak by company leaders at the staff’s Regional convention on my success in the first year.

Planning, coordinating, and traveling to weeklong insurance education seminars and events throughout the nation. In charge of marketing efforts for 30 seminars a year. Required strong multi tasking ability and attention to detail. Duties with product inventory, onsite registration, audiovisual needs, agendas, confirming instructors, securing spending reports, budgeting, onsite hotel and meeting coordination, BEO’s, all F&B and extensive contract negotiation. Job required extreme professionalism with little to no supervision. Extensive executive level contact and frequent public speaking. Frequent week long travel across the country with connecting cities.
