I began working at Boise State as a Writing Center Consultant, assisting students and faculty of all levels with their writing skills. I was granted a Teaching Assistant-ship while I earned my Masters Degree.I worked extensively with digital technologies for the composition classroom and have presented several workshops on the use of the iPad in teaching. I studied in detail Medieval Rhetoric, Digital Composition, Sociology, and Socio-Linguistics.Graduate research focused on the rhetoric of semiotics and how we--everyone, everywhere--chooses and employs signs and symbols to create and evaluate our own profile as well as the profiles of others. This includes but is not limited to: the cell phones we carry, the cars we drive, the clothes we select each morning, the neighborhoods we live in, the foods we eat, etc.

Given the nature of my work and the sensitivity of the information I dealt with, I held a Secret clearance granted from the US Government (FBI)Among my numerous medals I was awarded five (5) Army Achievement Medals, two (2) Delaware Medals for Military Merit, as well as service ribbons, overseas and civil authority medals.
