Well, being an Architect was not on my list when I was a child. I was planning to become an artist, focusing on painting and dancing. But after I explored the career, being an architect could support my preferences, and I love to be it.At first, I found it difficult to understand what is architecture or the different approaches that each architect shares, but with time, research, and effort nowadays architecture is my passion and not a challenge anymore.University life was a wonderful time and even though various subjects were strange to me, everything became natural to understand. After three years of studying, luckily, my professor asked me to join his team as a draftsperson. This opportunity was scary, but I haven't changed it for anything. There was a moment when my career began. I gained enormous knowledge by participating in housing projects, urban plans, architectural competitions, and many others.Studying for a Master of Architecture in Australia helped me to see a new whole world of options to create new solutions and as an international student, I could see and appreciate differently the stunning Australian culture and people. As an architect in Peru and a postgraduate Architect in Australia, I enjoy the most working in a team. Designing under pressure is a stressful part of this profession, so it is amazing to work together to reach a goal, sharing ideas and solutions in the process. Also, organisation and flexibility to adapt to new situations are vital skills to finish projects. I'm confident that I've learned those skills and am ready to face new challenges and continue learning from them.
