Redefine Surgery is building technology that helps surgeons better learn and understand surgery so they can be their absolute best. We do this by working with the world's best surgeons and AI models to produce immersive material that scales the traditional mentor/mentee model. I helped Array, which is a great company filled with wonderful smart people, scale and operate their services, and helped with improvements to their fulfillment system. Unfortuntely my time got cut short due to an opportunity that came up that I couldn't resist.

I'm a tech lead for AWS Proton, a semi-new service that helps infrastructure and development teams work to deploy microservices easily.

I'm the lead mobile engineer for the iOS and Android apps for Vydia, a video tech startup in New Jersey. I also a tech lead on the web frontend and participate in other areas of tech like the web API, database work, etc. Primary languages for mobile are JS (we use React Native), Java, Objective C, Ruby, and Python. I designed new products and improved existing ones. My work was a combination of electronics and software. I used a variety of platforms and languages, from PLC microcontrollers to embedded system to web backends. I built Takeoff, a web app used by thousands of people to make collaboration easier during video production. This was an amazing ride. We scratched our own itch, built something we loved, worked hard to build a customer base, and hustled for years to get it to truly 'take off'. In the end, the business stagnated and we were unable to secure the necessary funding. So it in 2016 we made the tough decision to close. I'm forever grateful for this experience. I learned so much, especially the value of a good customer. Chris was a great partner and will forever be my friend. Unfortunately we lost the domain to some weirdos who reposted some of our blog material. I was contracted to build a REST API for the Expereal iPhone app. It features complete user management, recording of user data, reporting, and an admin interface. Built using node.js, redis, and mongodb.

I helped develop VEVO's iPhone, iPad, Android, XBox, and Windows Phone apps, used by many millions of people. I also occasionally lent a hand on their tech assets like the web site and backend.

I am the lead developer for Grid FX, a .NET grid component. I worked on the "core" team that helped develop a BPM product that was used to create systems for insurance companies. This was a high energy job and I was constantly amazed at the intelligence and motivation of my co-workers. Being part of the core team fueled my passion and sharpened my skills for creating reusable, scalable software.I left primarily because I had developed a .NET component in my spare time and wanted to find a component vendor I could partner with. I worked until just a few days before I departed to Florida.

In college, I had an idea to create a service that supplied individual, private social networks for groups. It was used by thousands of people, with groups ranging from high school buddies to church committees. I tried my best to make it a success, but ultimately I ran out of money and had to move on. My first job out of college. I was on a team that was developing .NET applications to support their business operations. They do medical malpractice insurance, and it is so complex that there is nothing off-the-shelf that worked. So I got experience in web apps, WinForms, Windows Services, MSMQ, PDF, Crystal Reports, and a bunch of other fun stuff. It was a great introduction to the software development world.While pinsco had an Office Space vibe, it will filled with really great, helpful, smart, patient people who were willing to put up with my screwups. I really enjoyed working there, and only left because I got a great chance to move in with some of my best friends near NYC, and figured I should work in the city.
