In August 2023, I started full time as a graduate student at the University of San Francisco in the MA in Professional Communication (MAPC) program. I also continue working in my role as a project scientist and project manager in the contaminated sediment remediation field. I am an environmental and soil scientist passionate about bridging the communications gap between scientists and their audiences, and I am excited for this next chapter in beautiful San Francisco, California.

    My role at The Intelligence Group (a Verdantas company) is both as a Project Scientist and Project Manager. I primarily work in sediment remediation at all phases of the process, from liability & allocation through engineering & design. I manage a team providing strategic, technical, and logistical coordination among engineers, agencies, and attorneys working on cleanup of the Portland Harbor Superfund Site. On other projects throughout the west coast, I provide research and technical writing for clients with complex liability and remediation challenges. I am familiar with federal cleanup laws including CERCLA and RCRA, as well as WA and OR state programs, including MTCA. I am working to expand my knowledge of California state cleanup programs. In 2023 I presented at both the 11th Annual Battelle Contaminated Sediments Conference in Austin, TX, and at the Environmental Law Education Center Contaminated Sediment Conference in Portland, OR. On the internal side, I ran the corporate health and safety program from 2021-2023 and led our mentorship and young professionals program from 2020-2022. Finally, I received three promotions within my first three years of work with TIG.
