EDI parsing, translation, and creation software, all written in-house by me, written in Go. Backend API supporting rail booking requests and lifecycle designed, written, and managed by myself and a great friend and coworker, written in Go. Full stack applications using Flutter/Dart and Elixir/Phoenix. Design, creation, deployment, and management of all AWS infra utilized by my services written in Terraform. CI/CD pipelines built with full guard rails deploying entire stack in minutes. Usage of AI to automate repetitive "creative" processes, and increase developer velocity. This is the dream.

Scalable: I architected/designed, wrote, and deployed several Go applications that facilitate serving thousands of unique requests for custom Ubuntu, CentOS, and Alpine repositories utilizing AWS.Tested: I follow the dependency injection pattern, so all my code can be tested completely disconnected from IO/network.Containers: I have experience utilizing Docker and Docker Swarm to deploy my applications in a containerized, scalable infrastructure.Communication: I have presented in front of hundreds to showcase new technology, representing Polyverse in conferences and various tech gatherings. I also recorded several screencasts (some live) on how Spectre/Meltdown work, which are still available online.• Wrote a repository indexer in Go for Debian (+Ubuntu), Fedora (+CentOS, Redhat), and Alpine based distributions. This utilizes AWS flavor of NoSQL (DynamoDB) , SQS, Elastic Storage (EFS), and Bucket Storage (S3) technologies.• Wrote a Go based repository mirror for the above repositories, utilized as a data gathering endpoint for thousands of daily downloads. This utilizes AWS DynamoDB, SQS, and their flavor of ELK.• Converted a front-end JS application into a containerized Node CLI service, wrapped in Python and Go, utilizing AWS SQS and Docker, which will perform automatic QA on all software artifacts published by Polyverse.

Most of my work involved integrating data-heavy websites with back-end systems through RESTful interfaces and other disparate endpoints.Furthermore, I was involved in the security posture of the public-facing services they offered.Responsibilities included:• Creating software to support internal processes.• Designing and creating standards which will be used to help automate processes.• Perform emergency on-call duties• Manage the relationships I have created with third party vendorsAchievements include:• I helped design, create, and implement internal tools to support the integration of a single unified billing system, while supporting and migrating off of two others.• Wrote a public-facing API utilized by hundreds of individuals every day. (PHP)• Wrote an entire suite of network information tools that scans and catalogs information on hundreds of devices in a time-critical manner. (Golang)• Wrote an automation script that deploys network configurations to any networking device we support (cisco, juniper, etc). • Researched, proposed, and implemented the current hosting for wavebroadband.com and sister sites.

• Wrote python script for a Telit Gm862 module to send tracking locations to an HTTP server over GPRS as a freelance project.• Wrote an automation bot used by hundreds to automatically track media they are interested in. • Irregular usage of python for various quick and dirty tasks.

CONTRACT NETWORK ENGINEER: 2010.• Provided primary support to RyTek during new site installations and deployments of Cisco hardware, including Site-To-Site VPN and firewall configuration.• Assisted contractor in troubleshooting VOIP hardware, and implementing SSH tunneling across the internet with several devices.CONTRACT IT/USER SUPPORT: 1999-2004.• IT/helpdesk consulting practice providing system diagnostics, solution design and implementation.• Acquired and retained 20+ accounts for 3+ years, including local health clinic and several small retailers; maintained 100% customer satisfaction and strong referral basis.• Researched, recommended and upsold solutions to user challenges.• Established technical credibility and personal rapport required to upsell recommended solutions.

• Managed technical and functional aspects of a 10-seat computer lab serving low-income residents.• Trained and supervised two part-time interns in lab maintenance, assigned duties and conducted performance reviews.• Managed computer skills class schedule and taught 40 classes to 100+ students on topics including basic computer/internet usage, Microsoft Office 2003/2007, web development using html & CSS, python programming, networking basics. * Collaborated with 5 other subject matter experts to develop professional certification exam “98-367 – MTA: Security Fundamentals” assessing a candidate’s network and administration security for Microsoft.

* Developed and implemented a cost-efficient branch upgrade plan across 3 remote locations.* Researched, wrote and implemented original Security Baseline document for bank network infrastructure audit compliance, including IOS updates to ~15 network devices and secure transfer protocol implementations.* Researched, planned, justified, won budget, and implemented RSA solution. Configured external web servers, firewall and internal access to enforce secure access via RSA-protected servers.* Maintained network, from routing protocols to cabling, to support 9 remote locations with 250 users.* Led effort to replace old Avaya routers/switchers; performed all rewiring and installations of Cisco devices from initial prepping stages to implementation, and provided continual IOS configuration, backup, and loading across multiple devices. Performed IP telephony training and implementation.* Responsibilities expanded to include insuring 100% WAN uptime. Monitored entire network via SNMP, and SolarWinds and resolved issues. * Supported XP, 2000, Server 2003, and OSX for 200-250 users.* Participated in a help desk call center supporting multiple proprietary software systems, as well as Microsoft Office.* Maintained printers, copiers, fax machines, and digital senders/scanners in 10 locations.* Helped maintain and coordinate the upkeep of an Active Directory domain supporting a school district consisting of 5 locations.
