Ben Strauss is a Co-founder and the Chief Innovation Officer of Transient Labs where he is responsible for building the future of digital assets in web3, leading the customized services side of the business, and developing and innovating on dynamic artworks / technology. He also serves as the main point of contact for Transient Labs’ largest creator and collector clients within the native web3 community, including both artists and collectors. Additionally, Ben is the developer of some of the most innovative smart contracts in the digital art space. His vision for the company includes leading the way in web3 technology and empowering artists and creators to unleash their full potential with cutting-edge tools and custom services to bring their visionary projects to life.Prior to founding Transient Labs, Ben was an aerospace engineer for Honeybee Robotics where he assumed lead roles during the design, build, and test phases of multiple aerospace engineering projects. One such project he managed was for a biaxial gimbal assembly designed to scan the atmosphere from low earth orbit (LEO) for aerosols and pollutants. Ben is also an award winning landscape photographer and was introduced to NFTs in February 2021 when he began selling his photography. Since then, his work has been viewed and enjoyed by millions around the world and collected by some of the biggest names in the industry.Ben received his Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University where he served as the lead researcher on a project to investigate thin film front-side coatings for reducing soiling losses on solar modules, thereby increasing their power output. He is also a dedicated saxophone player and has a degree in jazz performance.
