Bethany has painted with artists and musicians at festivals around the west coast and abroad in Mexico and Asia. She painted murals on Australian and European Union embassy walls, and hosted art therapy with women and children rescued from sex trafficking. In 2017 she was in an international art residency program where she collaborated with Nepali artists. In 2016, Bethany first hosted community breakfast at her home in Los Angeles bringing together her neighborhood art scene in an intimate setting. She re-established her breakfasts in the summer of 2021 in Minneapolis. Breakfast is a free flow art salon, encouraging conversations around social justice awareness and creative problem solving. This event curates a deeper connection built upon collective necessity for belonging and learning beyond our own experience. Currently breakfast serves local and neighborhood visual artists, filmmakers, comedians, writers, designers, dancers, musicians and puppeteers. Breakfast is inclusive of disabled people, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ with 50-75% of attendants with these identities. Bethany has future plans to evolve this event into an international artist residency program in the Twin Cities, broadening the scope of artists and influencing our local art community.In addition to hosting events at The Maple House, Bethany teaches art classes for children and adults and cooks breakfast at a local BnB.
