Bob McAtee, LMT, CSCS, is a sports massage therapist with over 38 years experience. He owns and operates Pro-Active Massage Therapy in Colorado Springs, CO. Bob is an NCBTMB approved provider and regularly presents workshops on facilitated stretching, massage, and soft-tissue injury care nationally and internationally. Bob is Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (1992) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA 1998).He is the author of Facilitated Stretching, published by Human Kinetics Publishers. The book has sold over 130,000 copies since its release in 1994 and has been translated into Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Chines, and Japanese. His new book, Sports Massage for Injury Care, will be released by Human Kinetics Publishers in 2019.Specialties: I specialize in sports massage for active clients and soft-tissue injury care for those who have been too active!I also teach continuing education courses to health and fitness professionals worldwide on a variety of topics, including flexibility, rehabilitative training, and soft-tissue therapy.
