About Jake Strevett

About MeI'm Jake Strevett, a Designer based in North London.I've always been creative in solving problems. Ever since my first job as a learning disability support worker, I have removed barriers preventing people from living fulfilling lives. As a mental health nurse, I adapted to diverse and often challenging environments, from child mental health services in inner-city London to Aboriginal addiction services in outback Australia.Postgraduate studies and eventual practice in cognitive psychology and systemic family therapy deepened my understanding of human motivation and social networks. My design journey began as a mental health consultant for the UK's first digital GP practice, where I contributed to both the research and development of the platform alongside my clinical work.I realized technology and design can transform people's lives if it truly understands its users and knows what they would like to achieve.Since then, I've combined my passion for problem-solving and research with my skills in design, crafting digital platforms that genuinely understand the users.Check out my portfolio https://uxfol.io/strev
